Whole sheet must be heated to sealer melting point. As a result glass looses flatness and temper strength.
Glass is preheated to a low temper-ature, the sealer is heated exclusively. Glass remains cooler temper properties/flatness protected.
Benefits: high cycle rate and yield, reduced equipment costs, lower energy and labor. Opens new product avenues like VIG and tempered glass displays – that have no current analog in the market.
